Web Design Academy of Denver was founded with the purpose of educating our customers, as opposed to keeping them in the dark. Many web designers want everything they do to retain an aura of mystery, ensuring that you’ll be required to retain their services for years to come. While we like nothing more than long-term relationships with our clients, we also believe it is in our best interests to empower our clients to take control of their own websites. We’re not looking to make a pretty penny on maintenance retainer contracts – if you want to maintain your own site, you should be able to.

To that end, WDA was setup to have 2 distinct functions – one, a traditional web design and development house, the other a training and education center focused on teaching people how to do web design the right way. There are plenty of web design training videos and online tutorials – in fact, we offer plenty of those ourselves. But nothing beats having a working, professional designer to patiently walk you through the process of learning this craft. Most college-level web design courses are either too expensive, require too much time commitment, or are integrated into a larger art program. There are very few training centers that focus on the web designer. We won’t teach Microsoft Office, we won’t teach graphic design – we’ll teach web design and development specifically.

Students who successfully complete the programs here at WDA are walking away with the skills they need as a web designer. Whether you’re taking on an existing website, diving into a new startup, or looking to make a living as a freelance web designer, the foundational skills you learn will not only give you the raw knowledge you need, but provide a solid basis for ongoing education as well.

PLEASE NOTE: All courses for the current quarter have been cancelled due to low enrollment. We currently have several open slots for private instruction. Please contact us to discuss private and/or corporate training options for the first quarter of 2009.
