Instructor Bio - Jason Ackerman
Jason is the founder of the Web Design Academy of Denver. While there is a good amount of quality basic computer training for adults and professionals in the marketplace, he found the training for web design to be lacking. Too often, computer training centers lump web design in with other software packages, neglecting the fact that web design is truly a unique discipline that requires a varied but specific skillset to accomplish successfully. With that in mind, Jason started the WDA to unleash an army of web designers that don't suck.
Jason began designing web sites in the early 90s when graphical browsers were the new big thing in software. His earliest sites were straight up HTML design for text browsers on Unix-based machines (remember Lynx, anyone?). As the Web grew up, so did design, and Jason grew with it. Web design has been everything from a hobby, to a side job, to a full-time career. Jason's full range of knowledge, his understanding of web design principles, and his personable, down to earth communication style will make your learning process a comfortable and enriching experience.
