The following is a list of the courses currently available. All courses run based on availability of instructors and sufficient enrollment. In most cases, minimum enrollment is only 2 students, so it's rare for a class not to run. Not sure which class is right for you? Check out our recommendations.
Design Program
Integrated Web Design
This course is a three-day intensive program in web design, recommended for students who aren't able to enroll in a full 8-week program. The class starts with an introduction to web design and the variety of disciplines it entails. Day One is a survey of the many areas you need to know as a webmaster – HTML, CSS, Image Optimization, FTP and Hosting, Site Structure and Navigation, and Design Tools. Days Two and Three are primarily lab experience, hand-coding a basic site using HTML and CSS, and putting into practice the disciplines covered in day one.

Single Day Courses
HTML and CSS: Code by Hand Level I
HTML and CSS are no longer separate topics, but are now inseparable in terms of developing websites. The best professional web designers can code their sites by hand, allowing complete control over presentation. This course walks through the process of coding sites by hand, starting with basic HTML and CSS, and introducing intermediate topics like CSS Positioning.

HTML and CSS: Code by Hand Level II
For anyone who has completed and mastered Level I, this course introduces intermediate CSS topics, and examines the all-important issue of browser compatibility. By the end of class, students should be able to complete an entire website with many advanced functions without the aid of a design tool like Dreamweaver.

HTML and CSS: Code by Hand Level III
For anyone who has completed and mastered Levels I and II, this course is for those with a solid grasp on HTML and CSS, and will cover document type declarations, as well as box-model issues and advanced CSS topics.
Graphics for the Web
Since the web is a visual medium, a website is only as good as your graphics. Learn how to create sharp, useful graphics for the web, and learn to optimize graphics for maximum viewability and fast download. Graphics for mobile devices are also covered.

Web Design Principles
Just because you can code and assemble a website doesn't mean it's a great final product. Design principles are the things that make your site stand out in the crowd. Learn about things like navigability, accessibility, and common mistakes to avoid that cost your site visitors.

Adobe Flash CS3 - Level I
Flash is the tool of choice to give your site motion. Learn the basics to animating Flash movies, and integrating them into your website. Level I covers the most basic aspect of flash animation. Previous experience with vector drawing tools is recommended (Illustrator, Freehand, etc). Once complete, Level II is by private instruction appointment only, and covers interactivity, navigation, and Action Scripting.
Adobe Dreamweaver CS3 - Levels I and II
Dreamweaver is the web design tool of choice. It's not a design program, but more of an assembly program. Learn to maximize Dreamweaver to assemble your graphics and content, and make updating your site a seamless process. Covers site definitions, adding content, working with the file manager, and layout elements. Previous web design experience or completion of Integrated Web Design course required. Level II covers the deeper elements of Dreamweaver, including templates, collaborative design and maintenance using check-out, and behaviors and scripting. Completion of Dreamweaver Level I required.
